Question 1

Collection of some easy questions :

Q1What are the modes of TIBCO BW Installations ?

Answer:

  1. GUI mode -  the installer presents panels that allow you to make choices about product selection, product location, and so on.
  2. Console mode - this is useful for machines that have no Microsoft Windows environment.
  3. Silent mod - Silent mode installs without prompting you for information (done using a response file or some default settings)

Q2.If you have installed a particular version of TIBCO software e.g. TIBCO BW X.Y.Z, What are X, Y and Z number stands for?

Answer
    X:Major
    Y:Minor
    Z:Patch

During installation :
For a major or minor release, the installer prompts whether you want to upgrade, and informs you if incompatible products are on your system. If you proceed,
the major or minor releases are installed under a new directory that is named using the major or minor release numbers.
For example, if you have installed the 6.0.0 (major) release and are upgrading to a 6.1.0 (minor) release, the new release will be installed in a new directory
named install-path 6.1. This allows both the 6.0 and 6.1 releases to coexist on the same machine.

The installer for a patch release performs an automatic upgrade.
For example, the installer automatically upgrades Adapter for LDAP 6.0.0 to 6.0.1 by overwriting the contents of the 6.0 directory.
